Quest’anno, soprattutto e in particolare quest’anno, non potevamo mancare il nostro appuntamento con la foto del 25 dicembre. Ed eccoci qui.
Felici di essere assieme e di potervi augurare buon Natale. Compatibilmente, certo, con il nostro comune tempo sospeso e questo presente che sembra eterno, senza futuro.
L’augurio, da parte di tutti noi, è che non si torni alla normalità, ma si costruisca il nuovo e il giusto. L’utopia e la fantasia non sono meno difficili del pragmatismo. Al contrario!
A ricordarcelo è proprio quella notte di oltre duemila anni fa a Betlemme. È l’immagine della mancata accoglienza e della crudeltà. Allo stesso tempo, è la rappresentazione di un patto – solidale – tra umani e non-umani, tra pietre, terra, piante e noi che ci crediamo invincibili. Ma senza il bue e l’asinello, senza le pecore e i loro pastori, senza una grotta, il destino di quel bambino sarebbe stato diverso.

We won’t miss our Christmas family picture, especially for the incredible Year 2020. It’s a rite we follow since 2017, on the morning of the 25th of December. Our picture portraits time passing on our faces and shares with you our ‘being together’.
We are happy for being together and saying merry Christmas to our friends all over the world. We hope we will not come back to normality. Instead, we hope and we will fight for building a new and just world.
We remember that more than 2000 years ago there was not only a human family in a cave near Bethlehem. There were a cow and a donkey in a cave as a refuge, underlining a pact of solidarity between the human and the non-human. Without that pact of solidarity, a new-born’s destiny would have been completely different.
